collegehumor: Woman Bets $11,000 on “What” in Jeopardy I guess this could be correct.  I wouldn’t fault her that much.  You make your wager based on a category and the scores going into Final Jeopardy.  If she was up against someone very close to her score, she may have had to bet high; or, she was overconfident with the category.  Context matters.
